I Hate Rabbits

Last year I ignored the rabbits in what was to become my orchard, they were doing me no harm and after all there was going to be plenty of grass, they should be happy.  But are then, like hell they are, they seem determined to cause as much damage as it is possible for a rabbit to cause.

The picture below is one of two jubilee plum trees I planted in February, the evil things have stood on their back legs and just managed to reach over the tree guard and bitten the top clean off before stripping bark.  Both Jubilee plum trees have suffered the same fate, they are at opposite sides of the orchard around forty meters apart.

The rabbits couldn't manage to bite through the little apple tree below so devils spawn have nearly completely ring barked the tree just above the guard.  Once again the thing must have stood on its back legs and reached as far as it could.

I am now declaring war on my rabbit population no more mister nice guy, the gloves come off.  Anyone know any good recipes for rabbit.  I am thinking of a something like a cock au van but using cider in place of red wine, served with plum sauce with a stewed pear on the side.  I'll let you know what it tastes like, all I need is an unwilling rabbit and I will get one or possibly more, eventually.
