June the 18th and my Royal Medlar has produced two flowers. Initially it produced a lot of flower buds but for reasons unknown they shrivelled up and dropped off. But the determined little tree is having a second attempt and has produced two flowers. Since I have no experience with Medlars I have no idea if this is normal. I will find out in the years to come. My little Iranian Medlar is doing very well and is branching strongly. I don't even know if I will like the fruit when they do produce but the trees look great so I don't care.
